Lovesac CEO Says Furniture Industry at Worse Levels Than 2008-2010 -- Market Talk

Dow Jones09-19

1628 ET - Lovesac CEO Shawn David Nelson prefers to remain cautious about what the path to recovery in the furniture category will look like as the industry looks to recover from a post-Covid hangover. "We do expect a recovery in the industry, but it's fascinating to observe the fact that for two years now it's been worse than the 2008 to 2010 housing recession," Nelson tells WSJ. The category has declined by 10% to 15% over the past two years, according to data released by Citibank, Bank of America and Goldman Sachs.(sabela.ojea@wsj.com; @sabelaojeaguix)
