Javelin Minerals to Start Drilling at Western Australia Project; Shares Surge 50%

MT Newswires Live09-19

Javelin Minerals (ASX:JAV) is set to start a maiden drilling program at its Coogee gold-copper project in Western Australia in the December quarter, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The drilling aims to extend mineralization along strike and below the Coogee pit, and to test gold-copper extensions along magnetic targets to the northeast and west of the mineral lease, the filing said.

The Program of Works has been submitted, and the company is finalizing a drill-for-equity agreement with a Kalgoorlie-based contractor, according to the filing.

Shares surged 50% in morning trade Thursday.
