Cencora Breach Resulted in Hackers Getting $75M Ransom, Bloomberg Reports

--The hackers behind a cyberattack against drug distributor Cencora received a total of $75 million, marking the largest known cyber extortion payment ever made, Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter.

--The payment made for the Cencora hack occurred in three installments in Bitcoin in March, the sources tell Bloomberg, adding that the initial ransom demand was $150 million.

--A Cencora representative said the company doesn't comment on rumor or speculation, and that it stands by publicly available information, including a July quarterly report that included expenses incurred by a cybersecurity event, Bloomberg reports.
