Midea Group Shares Rise Over 8% in Hong Kong Debut

Midea Group (SHE:000333, HKG:0300) opened 8% higher in Hong Kong on Tuesday, the first day of its trading in the city.

The appliance maker opened at HK$59.200 per share, above its IPO price of HK$54.800.

Midea Group shares were already trading at HK$58.10 in the gray market on Monday, a day ahead of its official listing on the stock exchange, Bloomberg reported Monday.

The $4 billion listing marks the largest in Hong Kong since early 2021, according to reports.
