Hanwha Aerospace (KRX:012450) and SK Innovation's (KRX:096770) SK Enmove introduced an immersion cooling energy storage system, advancing non-flammable battery technology, according to a company release on Friday.
The system uses thermal fluid to isolate lithium-ion cells, offering improved safety over traditional cooling methods. The key model, SEAL, received certifications from Norway's Det Norske Veritas and the Korean Register of Shipping, the release said.
Shares of SK Innovation jumped over 5% in recent trade.
