BUZZ-China's Meituan faces worst day in 4 weeks on plan to issue US dollar notes

** Shares of Chinese food delivery giant Meituan fall 2.5% to HK$132.50, on course for their biggest one-day pct drop since Aug. 28 and snapping eight straight sessions of gains

** Meituan proposes to conduct an international offering of US dollar-denominated senior notes to professional investors, raising proceeds for refinancing of existing offshore indebtedness and other general corporate purposes

** Says completion of the proposed notes issue is subject to market conditions and investors' interest

** Jefferies keeps "buy" rating, saying the issue is not totally unexpected by the market and Meituan has strong execution with solid growth in core local commerce operating profit and synergies across segments

** The Hang Seng Tech Index and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index both add 0.7%, and the Hang Seng Index climbs 0.5%

** Stock up 62.8% YTD
