Australian healthcare players Integral Diagnostics (ASX:IDX) and Capitol Health (ASX:CAJ) should benefit from additional wage indexation in fiscal 2025, while Sonic Healthcare (ASX:SHL) and Healius (ASX:HLS) are expected to remain "hurt" by the lack of indexation, according to a Sept. 18 note from Jarden Research.
Meanwhile, Ramsay Healthcare (ASX:RHC) and Regis Healthcare (ASX:REG) should benefit from lower agency costs, with Ramsay remaining in negotiations on enterprise bargaining agreements in Western Australia and New South Wales, Australia, the investment firm stated.
CSL (ASX:CSL) ResMed (ASX:RMD) has shown margin expansion due to management improving operating margins, with ResMed's initial concern of higher freight costs on margins "more than offset" as expectations it will normalize into fiscal 2025, according to the note.
ResMed, Cochlear (ASX:COH), Regis Healthcare, and Sonic Healthcare appear to Jarden Research to be best positioned for more mergers and acquisitions and capital management, while Healius and Ramsay Healthcare are looking at selling assets to optimize their portfolios, the investment firm said.
