China's medical products administrator approved Shanghai MicroPort Endovascular MedTech's (SHA:688016) medical device registration for its fiber hair embolic coils, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Fiber hair embolic coils pack peripheral vascular aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations or abnormalities between arteries and veins in brain and spinal cord tissue, and arteriovenous fistulas or connections in the coverings of the brain or spinal cord.
The regulator also accepted MicroPort Endovascular agent Veryan Medical's medical device registration for its peripheral stent system, which improves the lumen diameter of primary lesions in arteries, the filing said.
Shares closed 5% higher in Shanghai during Tuesday's trading.
