A consortium led by a China Aluminum International Engineering (SHA:601068, HKG:2068) or Chalieco subsidiary won the bid for a 350,000-ton green aluminum project in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, China, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The bid, worth about 2.80 billion yuan, includes engineering, procurement, and construction, the filing said.
Chalieco subsidiary Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Design, the consortium leader, will be responsible for overall project design and equipment and material procurement, the filing said.
Research Institute and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Sixth Metallurgical Construction, as well as China 22nd Metallurgical Group, and Yunnan Jiantou Machinery Manufacturing and Installation Engineering, will take charge of construction and installation, according to the filing.
Shares in Chalieco rose 4% in Hong Kong and Shanghai during Tuesday's afternoon trading.
