CITIC Securities Issues $18 Billion in Medium-Term Securities; Hong Kong Shares Rise 9%

CITIC Securities (SHA:600030, HKG:6030) indirect subsidiary CSI MTN issued $18 million in medium-term debts, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The debts form part of a $3 billion issuance launched in March 2022, the filing said.

CITIC Securities International, a unit of CITIC Securities, is the guarantor of the issuance.

Once completed, CSI MTN will have issued $1.03 billion worth of securities, the filing said.

Shares surged 9% in Hong Kong and 7% in Shanghai during Tuesday's afternoon trading.
