** Shares of natural gas companies rise, tracking natgas futures that jumped to a 14-week high earlier in the session

** U.S. natgas prices up 4.4% at $2.87 per mln British thermal units (mmBtu), as hurricane Helene battered the U.S. Southeast after causing Gulf of Mexico producers to cut output and knocking out power to millions of customers in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas

** LNG producers CNX Resources up 4.6%, Chesapeake Energy up 3.8% and EQT Corporation rises 3.9%

** ETFs United States Natural Gas Fund up 4.2% and ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Natural Gas rises 8.5%
