BioNexus Gene Lab (BGLC) unit MRNA Scientific and Protech Builders said Wednesday they signed a three-year agreement to jointly develop and operate biogas plants in Malaysia.
The companies said they will identify, market and execute biogas projects that convert plantation and agricultural wastewater into renewable energy.
MRNA Scientific and Protech have agreed to make an initial contribution of up to 1 million Malaysian ringgit ($241,800) to fund feasibility studies and other project development activities, they said.
BioNexus shares were up about 11% in recent trading.
