Ryanair Flight to Milan Bergamo Airport in Italy Bursts Tires During Landing

A Ryanair (RYAAY) flight arriving at Italy's Milan Bergamo airport from Barcelona, Spain burst its tires during the landing phase, according to a Tuesday statement from the airport.

According to the airport, the four tires of the plane's rear undercarriage burst during an early-morning landing, causing damage to the runway.

AviationSource identified the plane as a Boeing (BA) 737-800.

No casualties were reported, while operations at the airport were suspended to repair the tarmac, the Milan Bergamo airport said.

Ryanair did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
