Signet Jewelers (SIG) said Tuesday that it appointed J.K. Symancyk as the new chief executive.
Symancyk, previously the CEO of PetSmart, will succeed Virginia C. Drosos, who plans to retire on Nov. 4.
After her retirement, Drosos will remain as an adviser until the close of the company's fiscal year to help ensure a smooth transition, the company said.
Signet also said that Chief Financial, Strategy, and Services Officer, Joan Hilson has taken on expanded responsibilities as chief financial and operating officer.
