CVS Health's Aetna Gets Michigan Recommendation for Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan Contract

MT Newswires Live10-12

CVS Health's (CVS) Aetna unit said Friday that the state of Michigan recommended the company for a new dual eligible special needs plans contract.

Pending the end of a protest period and readiness review by the state, Aetna said the new contract is slated to start on Jan. 1, 2026 and terminate at the end of 2033, with an option for renewals.

The CVS unit will support state residents who qualify for both the Medicare and Medicaid programs under the new contract, providing eligible members with Medicare benefits, and a majority of Medicaid covered benefits.

Aetna said it has been serving dually eligible beneficiaries in Michigan for over a decade.
