Kidpik Seeks to Stay Nasdaq Delisting Due to Non-Compliance With Equity Rule; Shares Drop Premarket

MT Newswires Live10-09

Kidpik (PIK) said in a regulatory filing Tuesday that it has submitted a request to the Nasdaq Hearings Panel to stay a delisting of its shares "at least until the hearing process concludes and any extension granted by the panel expires."

Shares of the company were down almost 20% in premarket activity Wednesday.

Without the company's request to appeal the Nasdaq's determination to delist, trading in its shares would have been suspended on Friday.

The company previously advised Nasdaq that it expected to regain compliance with the Nasdaq's minimum stockholders' equity requirement for continued listing by Oct. 14, which marks the end of 180 days from the original deficiency notification.
