J&T Global Express' Q3 Parcel Volume Jump 19%

J&T Global Express' (HKG:1519) parcel volume from all its markets jumped 18.5% to 6.24 billion parcels in the third quarter from 5.26 billion in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The number of parcels in its China market was up 18.7% to 5.05 billion from 4.25 billion in the year-ago period, while in its home base of Southeast Asia, the number increased 19.1% to 1.12 billion from 938.3 million in the prior-year period.

Across all its markets, average daily parcel volume surged by about 18.5% to 67.8 million parcels in the third quarter from 57.2 million parcels in the year-ago period. In China, the daily average increased 18.7% to 54.9 million parcels from 46.2 million a year earlier, while in Southeast Asia, it also rose 19.1% to 12.1 million from 10.2 million in the year-ago period.

For the first nine months, total parcel volume grew 30.4% to 17.25 billion from 13.23 billion in the year-ago period, with the number rising 29.8% in China to 13.89 billion from 10.70 billion a year earlier and Southeast Asia rising 33% to 3.16 billion from 2.38 billion.
