SurgePays (SURG) said Thursday that it signed a master services agreement with wireless service provider and licensed Lifeline provider TerraCom, allowing SurgePays to offer Lifeline to its affordable connectivity program, or ACP, subscribers.
SurgePays also agreed to finalize a stock purchase agreement to acquire a majority stake in TerraCom, according to the statement. No further details were disclosed.
The company said Lifeline is a government-subsidized program with reimbursements of $9.25 to $34.25 per month, depending on the state.
Apart from its strategy of offering this program, SurgePays said it is also ramping up sales efforts for other offerings and is pursuing other growth channels.
