LG Innotek (KRX:011070) developed an AI-based inspection system for incoming raw materials, aiming to detect defects early and prevent substandard materials from entering production, the South Korean electronic component manufacturer said last week.
This AI-powered technology, initially applied to the radio frequency system-in-package process and now extended to flip chip ball grid array, boosts the quality and competitiveness of its semiconductor substrates, it said.
