China Southern Airlines' (HKG:1055, SHA:600029) passenger capacity increased by 9.8% in September from a year prior, a Tuesday bourse filing said.
International passenger capacity climbed 52% while domestic and regional passenger capacity saw a 0.05% and 34% boost, respectively.
Passenger traffic rose by 19%, with domestic and international passenger traffic increasing by 10% and 56%, respectively. The passenger load factor was nearly 86% in September, a 6.8 percentage point boost from the previous corresponding period.
Cargo capacity jumped over 7% year over year, with cargo and mail traffic rising nearly 11%. The cargo and mail load factor stood at nearly 53%, up 1.59 percentage points from a year prior.
Shares of the company closed nearly 2% lower on Tuesday.
