Lynas Rare Earths Posts Lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Fiscal 2024

Lynas Rare Earths (ASX:LYC) said its greenhouse gas emissions at Mt Weld, Kalgoorlie, and Malaysia in fiscal 2024 were 111,638 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents, down from 125,846 tonnes a year earlier, according to its environmental, social, and governance report filed with the Australian bourse on Friday.

The rare earths producer signed supply contracts for 65 megawatts of gas-firmed hybrid renewable power, the filing stated. For fiscal 2025, it aims to complete the construction of a gas plant as part of a staged installation of a hybrid renewable power station.
