China Shenhua Energy's Controlling Shareholder Increases Stake

China Shenhua Energy's (HKG:1088) controlling shareholder China Energy Investment increased its shareholding of the company's A shares through its subsidiary China Energy Capital Holdings, a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

Capital Holdings acquired 11,593,528 A shares between Oct. 20, 2023, and Oct. 18, 2024, representing 0.0584% of the total number of issued shares of the company, for 365.3 million yuan through centralized bidding transactions.

After the said transactions, the total number of A shares held directly or indirectly by China Energy has increased to 13,824,302,724, representing 69.5789% of the total issued shares of the company, from 13,812,709,196 A shares before the purchases.

The coal mining enterprise's shares closed over 2% higher on Friday.
