Chengxin Lithium Group (SHE:002240) said 52.2%-owned Huirong Mining obtained a 24-year mining license.
The license covers the underground mining of lithium ore, niobium and tantalum at a production scale of 3 million tons per year, according to a Friday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
The license marks a "major breakthrough" in ensuring the company's lithium ore resource supply.
