China Eastern Airlines Postpones EGM, Cancels Book Closure Period, Shares Up 4%

China Eastern Airlines (HKG:0670, SHA:600115) has decided to postpone its extraordinary general meeting and H shareholders class meeting, from Oct. 19 to a later date to be notified by the company, a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong exchange said.

Following the postponement, the book closure period from Oct. 24 to Oct. 29, as notified in the original notices, will also be canceled.

The airline's shares were up nearly 4% in recent trade.
