South32 (ASX:S32) maintained its production guidance across its operations for the fiscal year 2025 as it reported its output for the first quarter, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The Australian miner saw its alumina production decline to 1.2 million tonnes in the first quarter of fiscal 2025 from 1.3 million tonnes a year earlier. Aluminum production rose to 298,000 tonnes from 288,000 tonnes in the prior year.
Payable silver production plunged to about 2.1 million ounces from roughly 3.4 million ounces in the same period a year earlier.
Elsewhere, copper and nickel production rose, while manganese ore, lead, and zinc output declined year on year.
