US stock futures are moving lower in Tuesday's premarket session with a relatively quiet day on the economic calendars ahead as investors await a slew of earnings reports coming out this week.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 0.43%, S&P 500 futures were off 0.47% and Nasdaq futures were moving 0.55% lower.
Oil prices were moving higher, with front-month global benchmarks Brent crude and West Texas Intermediate crude rising 0.73% and 0.87% respectively.
Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia President Patrick Harker will be speaking later in the morning at a fintech conference. Investors will be looking for any clues indicating the Fed's future monetary policy moves.
And later in the afternoon, the American Petroleum Institute will release its weekly crude oil data, which gauges petroleum demand in the US.
In equities, shares of Genprex (GNPX) soared 121% in Tuesday's premarket session after skyrocketing 260% on Monday. Ensysce Biosciences' (ENSC) shares shot up 89%, adding to a 16% gain the previous session. And shares of SRM Entertainment (SRM) Jumped 52%, following a 3.6% gain on Monday.
On the losing side, shares of GRI Bio (GRI) plunged 24% after it said late Monday that it agreed to exercise certain warrants at a reduced exercise price of $1 per share. IN8bio's (INAB) shares tumbled 18% after jumping 75% the previous session. And shares of DMC Global (BOOM) fell 17% after the company cut Q3 sales guidance late Monday and flagged a $142 million noncash goodwill impairment charge.
