China Eastern Airlines' (HKG:0670, SHA:600115) vice chairman and president, Li Yangmin, resigned, according to a Tuesday disclosure on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The company has yet to name Li's successor, the filing said.
In addition, the airline company appointed Liu Tiexiang as president. Li serves as deputy secretary of the China Eastern Air Holding's Party Committee.
The company's shares rose around 2% on both the Shanghai and Hong Kong bourses.
