Selling at an average price of CN¥4.95, which is higher than the current price, may have been the wisest decision for these insiders as their investment would have been worth less now than when they sold.     Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions,  we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.   See our latest analysis for Star CM Holdings  Star CM Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year   Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the Executive Chairman & CEO, Ming Tian, for HK$21m worth of shares, at about HK$4.80 per share.   While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price.  It's of some comfort that this sale was conducted at a price well above the current share price, which is HK$3.99.  So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership.   Insiders own 15% of Star CM Holdings shares, worth about HK$237m.  This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
