In June, Hieronimus made a similar warning that lingering weakness in China would impact growth in the beauty market.  Although sales growth was achieved in all regions, except North Asia, Q3 results were below expectations except for North American sales which were up 5.2% compared to +3.67% estimates. Sales in Europe increased 5.6% (+6.43% est), and in SAPMENA-SSA (which includes Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, India, Vietnam, and Sub-Saharan Africa) where sales improved 8.0% (+12.4% est).  North Asian sales were down 6.5%, worsening from a 2.4% drop in the previous quarter and missing expectations for a gain of 2.15%.  By division, sales of Professional Products rose 6.1% (est +4.5%), followed by a 5.8% gain in Luxe sales (est +4.43%), 1.4% gain in Consumer Products (est +5.18%), and 0.8% increase in sales of Dermatological Beauty (est +11.2%), resulting in an overall sales increase of 3.4%, missing the Bloomberg estimate of +5.8%. All sales are reported as like-for-like (\"LFL\").  The results weighed on shares of L'Oréal (OTCPK:LRLCY) along with other names in the sector including Estée Lauder (EL), Coty (COTY), e.l.f.
