Singapore shares closed higher on Thursday despite overnight losses in the global markets.
The Straits Times Index ranged between 3,604.11 and 3,628.05 throughout the day. It ended the session at 3,604.95, up 4.17 points or 0.12% compared to Wednesday's close.
In company news, shares of Katrina surged over 77% after it entered into a strategic collaboration with Lotte GRS to bring Korean hamburger chain Lotteria to Singapore.
Meanwhile, shares of Q&M Dental were up over 3% after the company entered into a non-binding agreement with certain shareholders of Delun for the proposed acquisition and investment in the China-based oral healthcare provider.
SingPost fell 3.5%, Nio fell 3.4%; Keppel rose 1.4%, SIA rose 1%, UOB rose 0.6%.
