Giordano International's Q3 Revenue Rises 4%; Shares Up 4%

Giordano International's (HKG:0709) revenue for the third quarter of 2024 increased 4.4% to HK$907 million from HK$869 million in the prior year, a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

Sales in Greater China increased by 3.6% year on year, sales in Southeast Asia and Australia increased by 7.3% year on year, and sales for the Gulf Cooperation Council remained the same on-year.

The same-store sales increased 4.1% to HK$639 million from HK$614 million. Global brand sales dropped 0.8% to HK$949 million from HK$957 million a year ago.

For the period from the start of the year and ending on Sept. 30, the group logged 1% lower year-on-year revenue by markets, the same-store sales remained pretty much the same but the total number of stores dropped by 44 to 1,749 from 1,793 in the year-ago quarter.

The international apparel and accessories retailer's shares rose nearly 4% in recent trade.
