Takeda Pharmaceutical (TAK) and Boston Medical Center said Thursday they're launching a collaboration project to come up with solutions to decrease greenhouse gas emissions in the health care industry.
The project aims to decrease emissions resulting from the disposal of medical waste, like pharmaceutical packaging and single-use plastics, the companies said.
The project will also share best practices to help other organizations adopt new ways to decarbonize in their operations, the companies said.
