Yuexiu Transport Infrastructure (HKG:1052) logged higher traffic volume and toll revenue in the majority of its projects in August compared with the previous month, but lower than in the year-ago period, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The mixed results are attributable to a greater willingness to travel during the year-ago period following the relaxation of COVID-19 protocols and peak travel season, the filing said.
The GNSR Expressway, which had the highest average daily toll traffic volume among the group's projects, logged a marginal 1.3% yearly increase in the figure to 327,947 during the month, the filing said. Its revenue fell 8.2% year over year to 96.3 million yuan during the month.
The Daguangnan Expressway recorded the steepest decline in its average daily toll traffic volume at about 20% to 24,504 vehicles. Its revenue slid over 15% yearly to 35.2 million yuan.
