Atlas Lithium (ATLX) said Monday it has received an operational permit from the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais for the Neves lithium-mining project.
With the approval, Atlas has the necessary permits to assemble and operate a lithium processing plant and pursue open-pit mining at one of its deposits. The approval, which became official on Saturday, follows a regulatory review and a vote by a board of local leaders.
Shares of the company were up more than 8% in recent Monday premarket activity.
