SINGAPORE, Oct 28 (Reuters) - PetroChina is set to close permanently its largest subsidiary refinery in north China's Dalian around mid-2025, part of a long-mooted relocation project for the ageing facility, which has a record of deadly accidents, sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

PetroChina has already shut in 210,000 barrels per day of refining capacity at Dalian Petrochemical Corp, or half of the plant's total capacity of 410,000 bpd, the sources said.

PetroChina did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
