JBS, Sigma Among Bidders for Kraft Heinz's Oscar Mayer Unit, Sources Tell Reuters

--Brazilian meatpacker JBS and Sigma Alimentos, the food subsidiary of Mexican conglomerate Alfa, are among the companies bidding to acquire Kraft Heinz's Oscar Mayer business, Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

--The unit, which makes hot dogs and cold cuts, could fetch nearly $3 billion, the report said.

--Oscar Mayer has attracted interest from other buyers who have submitted bids, according to the report, although any deal is still weeks away from being finalized if talks are successful.

--Kraft and JBS declined comment, while Sigma did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to the report.
