China Vanke Falls to Loss as Revenue Declines 24% in January-September Period; Hong Kong Shares Up 3%

China Vanke (SHE:000002, HKG:2202) fell to a loss attributable to shareholders in the first nine months of 2024 of 17.9 billion yuan, or 1.51 yuan per share, from a profit of 13.6 billion yuan, or 1.16 yuan per share, the previous year.

The property developer's revenue declined 24% year over year to 219.89 billion yuan from 290.31 billion yuan, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Shares of China Vanke rose 3% in recent trade on the Hong Kong bourse.
