Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Decline Premarket Wednesday

Health care stocks were declining premarket Wednesday with the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) slightly lower and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) down 1.4% recently.

Eli Lilly (LLY) shares fell by over 10% after the company reported Q3 adjusted earnings and revenue that missed analysts' expectations. The company also lowered its full-year 2024 adjusted earnings per share guidance.

GSK (GSK) shares were down over 4% after the company reported lower Q3 core earnings and turnover.

LivaNova (LIVN) shares were up over 9% after the company reported higher Q3 adjusted earnings and revenue. The company also raised its full-year guidance for adjusted earnings per share and revenue growth.
