Sheng Siong Group's (SGX:OV8) profit attributable to owners of the company was up nearly 13% to SG$39.1 million in the third quarter, from SG$34.7 million a year ago, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Wednesday.
Earnings per share came in at SG$0.0260, compared with SG$0.0231 in the year-ago period.
Revenue of the operator of supermarkets was up 5% year over year to SG$363.2 million from SG$345.8 million, mainly due to opening of new stores and improvement in sales from existing stores.
The company's shares were up more than 1% recently.
