Chalco's Q3 Profit Jumps 3%; Hong Kong Shares Plummet 11%

Aluminum Corp. of China (SHA:601600, HKG:2600) or Chalco's attributable profit rose 3.3% year over year to 2 billion yuan in the third quarter, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.

Earnings per share at the aluminum producer increased 4.5% year over year to 0.116 yuan.

Revenue grew 16% year over year to 63.1 billion yuan.

Shares plunged 11% in Hong Kong and 9% in Shanghai during Wednesday's trading.
