Karoon Energy (ASX:KAR) updated the contingent resource estimate for its Who Dat gas-condensate discovery located in the Gulf of Mexico, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The discovery's 2C contingent resource jumped 191% to 15.7 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe) from the previous 5.4 million boe, the filing said.
An updated prospective resource assessment is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter, the filing said.
The company's shares closed up more than 1% Wednesday.
