UniFirst's board of directors boosted the company's quarterly dividend to 35 cents per share from 33 cents, an increase of 6.1%, the company said.
The new payout, equal to $1.40 on an annual basis, is equal to a dividend yield of about 0.8% based on the company's closing share price on Tuesday of $185.27.
The dividend will be payable Jan. 3 to shareholders of record on Dec. 6.
Based in Wilmington, Mass., UniFirst is involved in the supply and servicing of uniform and workwear programs, facility service products, along with first aid and safety supplies and services.
