Minmetals Capital's Q3 Profit Drops 26%, Operating Income Rises 4%; Shares Up 5%

Minmetals Capital (SHA:600390) booked a net profit attributable to shareholders of 319.8 million yuan in the third quarter of the year, dropping 26.4% from the year-ago profit of 434.3 million yuan, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on Monday.

Earnings per share slipped 16.7% year on year to 0.05 yuan from 0.06 yuan.

The Chinese investment management services provider earned total operating income of 2.51 billion yuan in the same period, rising 4.2% from 2.41 billion yuan the previous year, the filing said.

The company's shares jumped more than 5% in recent trade.
