ALLETE Unit Sells Whitetail Wind Project to Invenergy

ALLETE (ALE) unit ALLETE Clean Energy said Tuesday it has sold the Whitetail wind project in Wisconsin to Invenergy.

Financial details weren't provided.

Invenergy will complete the development and construction of the roughly 70-megawatt project, which is intended for future sale to Madison Gas and Electric and WEC Energy Group's (WEC) We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service units, ALLETE Clean Energy said.

The project, acquired by ALLETE in 2021, includes up to 21 turbines and spans 5,938 acres. Invenergy will handle operations and maintenance of the project, ALLETE Clean Energy said.
