China Life Insurance (HKG:2628, SHA:601628) reported a net profit attributable to equity holders of 66.25 billion yuan for the quarter ended Sept. 30, a 1767% increase from 3.55 billion yuan in the prior-year quarter, according to a Wednesday filing on the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share were 2.34 yuan per share, compared with 0.13 yuan a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter was 192.96 billion yuan, a 125% increase from 155.74 billion yuan in the previous year's quarter.
The company also announced an interim dividend of 0.20 yuan per share for the period ended June 30, according to another filing on Wednesday.
