DatChat Unit Dragon Interact Buys RPM Interactive

DatChat (DATS) unit Dragon Interact said Wednesday it acquired RPM Interactive in consideration for 3.5 million common shares.

RPM is a publisher of artificial intelligence-generated consumer gaming and podcasting/vodcasting apps, Dragon Interact said.

As part of the deal, Dragon Interact said it intends to change its name to RPM Interactive, with Michael Mathews to be its chairman. Mathews served as chief executive of Aspen Group since May 2011 and as CEO of Interclick until its acquisition by Yahoo, according to the statement.

DatChat's shares were down more than 19% in recent trading.
