Worley Subsidiary to Join Small Modular Nuclear Reactor Supplier Group; Shares Hit Two-Year Low

Worley (ASX:WOR) subsidiary Worley Chemetics was chosen by GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy to join the BWRX-300 Qualified Supplier Group, according to a Friday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.

Worley Chemetics will design and manufacture the isolation condenser system for the BWRX-300 small modular nuclear reactor, supporting the first grid-scale small modular nuclear reactor in North America, the filing said.

The isolation condenser system will be produced at the company's alloy fabrication facility in Canada, according to the filing.

Worley shares fell 1% in midday trade Friday and earlier hit their lowest since October 2022.
