Westgold Resources (ASX:WGX) hit a record intercept from an ongoing resource development drill program at the Bluebird-South Junction mining complex in Western Australia, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program yielded up to 13.7 meters at a little over 18 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 563 meters, including 5.9 meters at 36.4 g/t gold from 567 meters intersected at the Polar Star lode, the filing said.
A resource upgrade for Bluebird-South Junction is slated for November.
The company's shares were up more than 2% in recent Monday trade.
