29Metals (ASX:29M) subsidiary Capricorn Copper secured an environmental enforcement order from the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation after talks on obtaining an interim treated water release mechanism, according to a Monday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.
The order removes restrictions on controlled treated water releases over 72 hours and a 12-month period, and imposes requirements on Capricorn Copper regarding monitoring and reporting of rainfall, water quality, release volumes, rate, and creek flow, and is effective for the duration of the 2024 to 2025 wet season, the filing said.
29Metals shares fell nearly 4% in midday trade Monday.
