Origin Energy's Guidance Commentary Points to Upgraded EPS Forecast Despite Slashed Free Cash Flow Outlook, Jarden Research Says

While Origin Energy (ASX:ORG) maintained its guidance for fiscal 2025, line items under the "Analyst notes" section of its quarterly report pointed to potentially higher earnings per share outlook and lower free cash flow target, Jarden Research said in a Nov. 1 note.

The guidance for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, expects depreciation, depletion, and amortization to fall by AU$60 million to AU$460 million from AU$521 million in the previous fiscal year, lower than Jarden Research's previous estimate of AU$615 million and the consensus estimate of AU$585 million.

Jarden Research maintained its price target of AU$9.90 on Origin Energy while keeping its neutral rating.

Origin Energy's shares closed up more than 1% Monday.
